Quite a few big rumours were just confirmed at Star Wars Celebration as Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts hit the stage to confirm he's developing Star Wars: Skeleton Crew for Disney+. Pre-production has started on the series, but all we have to share with you, for now, are a few early details.
The big news is that Captain Marvel and Fantastic Beasts star Jude Law will star in the show that's being developed by Watts and Christopher Ford alongside Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.
Skeleton Crew is set around the same time as The Mandalorian and Ahsoka following the events of Return of the Jedi, and it was suggested that all these shows will cross over in unexpected ways. As for the promise, it will follow four kids who ends up getting lost in this Galaxy Far, Far Away, and while they're all set to be around 10-years-old, this won't be a kids' show.
This panel looking ahead to Lucasfilm's big and small screen plans concluded with the news that Indiana Jones 5 will be released on June 30, 2023, so the studio sadly didn't have any major Star Wars announcements to share with fans eager for news on the franchise's big screen future.
