We'd expected Skeleton Crew to arrive on Disney+ before the end of 2023, though it's since become apparent the Star Wars TV series won't be with us until 2024. As for The Acolyte, we haven't really heard anything since fans at Star Wars Celebration got to see a trailer for the show back in April.

We're anticipating a mid-to-late 2024 debut for The High Republic show, and thanks to Bespin Bulletin, the full writing team for the series has today been revealed.

The premiere was written by creator Leslye Headland (Russian Doll). As for episode two, Jason Milcallef and Charmaine De Grate collaborated on that second chapter, with the latter best known for her work on House of the Dragon, The 100, and Daisy Jones and the Six. As for Milcallef, he wrote Butter, Marcel, Marcel, and Heathers

Episode three features another duo with Jasmyne Flournoy (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) and Eileen Shim (Hand of God) teaming up for this instalment. The latter worked with Milcallef on Heathers, while Shim is another former House of the Dragon scribe.

The fourth chapter comes our way from Claire Kiechef and Kor Adana. The former's credits include Watchmen and The OA, while Adana's most noteworthy past project is Mr. Robot

Adana is back for episode five, this time with Cameron Squires (Agent Elvis). Squires actually served as a staff writer on WandaVision, resulting in him being credited for all nine episodes of that Marvel Studios TV series.

Episode six sees Milcallef joined by Jocelyn Bioh, a writer on Headland's Russian Doll

Three writers were tasked with the penultimate chapter as De Grate and Flournoy team up with actress and Threads scribe Jen Richards. As for the finale, Milcallef is back again, making him the most-credited writer on The Acolyte with a total of three episodes.

The Acolyte will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era with the story of former Padawan who reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes but discovers the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.

The series stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margarita Levieva and Joonas Suotamo.

In addition to writing and directing, Leslye Headland serves as an executive producer with Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef. Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson produce.

The Acolyte is currently expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
