Asajj Ventress first appeared in Genndy Tartakovsky's Star Wars: Clone Wars shorts, and later factored heavily into The Clone Wars animated series. There had been plans for her to be part of Attack of the Clones, though she was ultimately sidelined in order for a greater focus to be put on Christopher Lee's Count Dooku.
With a striking appearance, a fascinating backstory, and a sheer level of badassery that made her more than a match for the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, it's no wonder fans fell in love with the character.
Eventually, she would find redemption (of a sort), turning on Dooku and briefly teaming up with Ahsoka Tano. With that character making her live-action debut and even Cad Bane showing up in The Book of Boba Fett, you have to believe there's at least a chance we'll see Ventress in an upcoming Star Wars TV show or movie.
In the meantime, photographer Geo Leon has shared some shots of cosplayer Gracie The Cosplay Lass transformed into The Clone Wars villain.
A Sideshow Collectibles statue was used as a basis for these images, and Leon and Gracie have dreamed up a take on this character that's sure to make fans very happy indeed. These photos are jaw-dropping and offer an idea of just how great Ventress could look in live-action.
Last year, we spoke to original Asajj voice actor Grey DeLisle and wondered if she would like to return to the character in animation. "I would adore that. I am happy with the Asajj I got to play, though, just because I’m such a fan of Genndy Tartakovsky," she told us. "He's such a genius...My Asajj was in my favourite Star Wars property ever, so I’m glad about that. I’m open to more!"
