Marrok has become the focal point of many Star Wars fan theories since debuting in Ahsoka, with the fact Sam Witwer is mentioned in the show's credits adding further fuel to the fire.
There are those who believe Darth Vader's secret apprentice is beneath the mysterious Inquisitor's rusting helmet, though a more believable and popular theory is that Morgan Elsbeth has somehow corrupted Ezra Bridger. After all, she's a powerful descendant of the Nightsisters of Dathomir!
There are undeniable similarities between the name "Galen Marek" and "Marrok," though it still feels like a stretch - and a possible disservice - to Starkiller to shoehorn him into this Disney+ series.
During a recent livestream, Witwer briefly addressed the chatter surrounding his presence in Ahsoka and appeared to forget he actually worked on the show!
In some ways, this isn't surprising, especially when he's been credited for providing "Additional Voices" in a number of Star Wars projects, including the Jedi: Survivor video game. Given his longtime friendship with Dave Filoni, it seems likely this was just a day's work for the actor rather than a secret role.
Thus far, stuntman Paul Darnell is the only actor who has been credited as Marrok, with a "Featuring" nod in this week's episode suggesting he also lent his voice to the modulated dialogue we heard from the villain.
Ezra still seems like the most likely candidate to be beneath the mask and you can read more about that possibility by clicking here.
