War came to Tatooine in today's The Book of Boba Fett finale, and the epic action included the title character riding into battle on the back of a massive Rancor. Ultimately, the former bounty hunter successfully repelled the Pyke Syndicate - there was no secret big bad like Crimson Dawn - but not before an amazing clash with Cad Bane.
Playing on their history in The Clone Wars and the fact the Pykes were responsible for killing those Tusken Raiders, Bane manages to defeat Boba and has him dead to rights.
However, whipping out his gaderffii, Fett manages to take Bane down and plunges the Tusken weapon into his chest - with that, one of the Star Wars franchise's most popular supporting characters is dead (but what a way to go). He wasn't the only one, though, as we learn earlier in the episode that the bounty hunter did indeed kill Cobb Vanth in "cold blood."
Or not.
In a mid-credits scene, we learn that Vanth is in Fett's Bacta tank, but Thundercat's Modifier is standing close by, clearly ready to make some cybernetic modifications to the Marshall. The character has been a hit with fans, and it appears he has a bright future in the Star Wars Universe moving forward.
