War came to Tatooine in today's The Book of Boba Fett finale, and the epic action included the title character riding into battle on the back of a massive Rancor. Ultimately, the former bounty hunter successfully repelled the Pyke Syndicate - there was no secret big bad like Crimson Dawn - but not before an amazing clash with Cad Bane.

Playing on their history in The Clone Wars and the fact the Pykes were responsible for killing those Tusken Raiders, Bane manages to defeat Boba and has him dead to rights.

However, whipping out his gaderffii, Fett manages to take Bane down and plunges the Tusken weapon into his chest - with that, one of the Star Wars franchise's most popular supporting characters is dead (but what a way to go). He wasn't the only one, though, as we learn earlier in the episode that the bounty hunter did indeed kill Cobb Vanth in "cold blood."

Or not.

In a mid-credits scene, we learn that Vanth is in Fett's Bacta tank, but Thundercat's Modifier is standing close by, clearly ready to make some cybernetic modifications to the Marshall. The character has been a hit with fans, and it appears he has a bright future in the Star Wars Universe moving forward.

Will there be a season 2 or is this meant to be a miniseries like most of the Marvel shows?

@tb86 - I hope they make another season. They kind of hinted at it towards the end when he said that it didn't suit him or Fennec. I could see him leaving Tatooine under someone else's rule while he goes to settle some other scores and expand his territory with Fennec and Krssantan. It would be like the bad version of Han, Leia and Chewbacca.

Loved this finale. So many great scenes. Fett finally unleashing and fighting side-by-side with Djarin against those first few waves was epic.

I hope they're turning Vanth into the cyborg bounty hunter, and original terminator, Valance from the comics.

There was some good moments but overall the series was a letdown.

The Mandalorion Season 3 should redeem what this show was lacking.

Loved some of it but the rest was a huge letdown. Boba wasn't really Boba and after everything he went through he say's this isn't really want he wants after all!!! Have they really killed of Bane? This was my first encounter of him and he looked and sound fantastic!
