The Book of Boba Fett's finale didn't keep us waiting for Grogu's decision as the episode opened with an X-Wing approaching Tatooine. The starship landed in Peli Motto's garage, and we learned that it was piloted by R2-D2 rather than Luke Skywalker (we're guessing he didn't want to return home).
Grogu was in the pilot's seat and decked out in that Beskar armor beneath his usual robe. Later, in the midst of an epic battle between Boba Fett's forces and the Pyke Syndicate, Din Djarin was reunited with his foundling in what proved to be one of the most emotional Star Wars moments we can recall. From there, Grogu used the Force to lend a helping hand throughout the fight.
As well as weakening a massive battle droid, Grogu put Fett's out of control Rancor to sleep and is clearly more in tune with the Force now than ever before after being reminded of his powers by Luke.
Right at the end of the finale, we see Din and Grogu leave Tatooine and, yes, The Child is in that empty space usually reserved for a droid! With that knob from the Razor Crest in hand, he encourages his father figure to fly faster as they blast off for what we're assuming is an adventure on Mandalore.
