In this past Tuesday's episode of Ahsoka, we followed Ahsoka Tano into the World Between Worlds for a reunion with Anakin Skywalker. During two incredible flashbacks, we revisited the earliest days of The Clone Wars and later even got to see the Siege of Mandalore in live-action.
For fans of the long-running animated series, this was a dream come true. From watching the young Ahsoka head into battle to Anakin being decked out in his Clone War armour, the episode was a joy from start to finish (a Captain Rex appearance was also welcomed, even if Temuera Morrison only provided the heroic clone's voice).
Now, all three of those characters from The Clone Wars stand tall in newly released Ahsoka character posters.
We kick things off with Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker before turning the spotlight to Ariana Greenblatt wearing the same uniform Ahsoka donned in season 7. Then, there's Rex, a character whose unique armour has translated wonderfully to live-action.
Posters featuring the slightly younger Ahsoka and the Force Ghost Anakin would be a nice bonus, but we really have nothing to complain about here. Is a 6-episode live-action limited series set during The Clone Wars really too much to ask for after this?
It's unclear whether Ahsoka will feature additional flashbacks but we do anticipate seeing Anakin again. As for Rex, we don't believe Morrison was enlisted to play the older version of this character so there's a chance that this will be it for him (for now at least).
Take a look at these awesome Ahsoka posters below.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
The first five episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+.
