While not as in-depth as the multi-part roundtable discussion we got for The Mandalorian's first season, another Disney Gallery special hit Disney+ today, this time reflecting on the making of season 3.

Essentially an hour-long version of the featurettes you typically find on a Blu-ray, it's packed full of fun new insights and comments from the show's cast and crew. It also includes heaps of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage revealing how The Mandalorian was made!

In this article, you'll find 10 of the best BTS shots, revealing how key moments and characters were brought to life on screen as we pull back the curtain on this secretive Star Wars TV series. As you might expect, though, there are some pretty major season 3 spoilers here.

As Grogu uses his Jedi powers to protect himself, Din Djarin, and Bo-Katan-Kryze from the explosion that decimates Moff Gideon's base, a couple of puppeteers can be seen in the background bringing The Child to life.

Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best's return to Star Wars as Jedi Kelleran Beq was cause for celebration among fans and he kicked ass while rescuing Grogu. Here, we see him preparing for a scene with director Carl Weathers.

Believe it or not, IG-12 was also controlled by a number of puppeteers with one operating Grogu's hand movements and another walking the droid around set. It took a whole team to make these standout moments a reality and their hard work definitely paid off.

When Grogu begins his training, he outsmarts Paz Viszla's son but not before taking a couple of hits from his fellow foundling. In this adorable behind-the-scenes shot, we see those paint splats were actually prop pieces attached to The Child's costume!

Giancarlo Esposito loves playing a bad guy and is clearly having a blast here suited up in Moff Gideon's new armour. During this special, he once again strongly hints that there's always a chance the dastardly villain could live to fight another day...

The Volume is once again used to bring a planet to life, with everything you see beyond Grogu's puppeteer created digitally with those giant-sized screens. That has to be a huge help to the actors on set.

We don't know the names of these Jedi Knights who fell attempting to protect Grogu on the night of Order 66, but they certainly appear to be having fun. Then again, wouldn't you if you were wielding a lightsaber on the set of The Mandalorian?

A closer look at how Kelleran Beq and Grogu's Coruscant escape was shot, we can only imagine the fun Best must have had returning to this franchise as a Jedi Knight after the vitriol from some Star Wars fans which followed his role in the prequel trilogy.
