Released in 2019, the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game quickly became a hit with fans. Set five years after the events of Revenge of the Sith, it followed Jedi Cal Kestis, a Padawan who managed to escape the purge of Order 66.

Along the way, Cal encountered Sith Inquisitors and even Darth Vader, while a sequel - Jedi: Survivor - is set to arrive in stores on April 28. Fans remain anxious to see Cameron Monaghan play the character in live-action, and The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau has now revealed whether Cal could eventually become part of the Disney+ series.

"Well, we did have our little robot in there," Favreau tells Entertainment Weekly, referring to the BD unit owned by Peli Motto (which isn't Cal's companion, BD-1). "We really appreciate all the good Star Wars stories that are being told across multimedia."

"I think one of the things I'm most proud of about what we're able to accomplish with this show is to pull in different sets of characters and storylines, and each generation and each group connects with a different aspect of Star Wars."

"[We have] prequel sequels, The Clone Wars, and even expanded universe aspects that we could all pull into our show, so that there's something for everybody, no matter what you connect with," Favreau teased. "With Star Wars, this is a place where all the Star Wars fans are welcome, and hopefully they're enjoying the show."

So, he's not confirming or denying anything!

It's worth noting that there is something of a conflict in terms of the timeline here as The Mandalorian takes place after Return of the Jedi. Cal's fate throughout the original trilogy has yet to be revealed, and the character would need to be aged up for any sort of cameo appearance in the Disney+ series.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy also recently weighed in on Cal's potential live-action future. Find her comments here.
