THE MANDALORIAN: Mercedes Moné/Sasha Banks Reveals Whether We'll See Koska Reeves In Season 3

When Mercedes Moné (known as Sasha Banks in WWE) was first spotted in one of the trailers for The Mandalorian's second season, speculation immediately started running rampant that she might be playing Star Wars Rebels' Sabine Wren.

We'd soon learn that wasn't the case, of course, with the pro wrestler and actress instead playing the newly created Mandalorian Koska Reeves. The character was a hit with Star Wars fans despite her fairly limited role in the Disney+ series, though Moné insists she won't be part of season 3.

"I can’t believe I’m in two of the greatest universes ever. Wrestling universe and Star Wars universe have the craziest and best fans of all-time," the New Japan Pro Wrestling star tells TV Insider.

"To have no one, but six Star Wars of myself and was only in one season thus far. I don’t know. It’s still surreal. The next season I can’t wait to watch as a fan."

We're not buying what Moné is selling, especially with The Mandalorian's upcoming third season set to feature a record number of Mandos! Chances are she's been told to keep her return under wraps, especially given the secretive nature of this corner of the Star Wars Galaxy.

Despite denying her involvement with The Mandalorian, Moné did say she's game to return as the hero in a movie. "Besides freakin’ Star Wars, I would love to be in a movie," she says. "I would love to put Koska Reeves in a Mandalorian movie. That would be incredible."

We'll see what the future holds in store for Moné and Reeves, though we do anticipate her showing up in the show when it returns. If now, we'd at least like to think there's a good explanation for why she isn't jetting into action alongside Katee Sackhoff's returning Bo-Katan Kryze.

The Mandalorian premieres on Disney+ on March 1.
