With less than two weeks to go before The Mandalorian returns to Disney+, Lucasfilm continues to build hype for a season that looks set to take us to new corners of the Galaxy.
With Din Djarin intent on returning to Mandalore, we're expecting an exploration of both the ruined planet and Mandalorian mythology that lays the groundwork for the show's new direction moving forward. After all, the bounty hunter's mission to return Grogu to his own kind has ended, and now they're reunited, The Mandalorian requires a new driving force.
On this newly released poster, we see Din alongside some familiar allies - Bo-Katan Kryze, The Armorer, and Paz Vizsla - as they assemble (we assume) to retake their ruined home.
Lucasfilm has also dropped a new video recounting the events of The Mandalorian's first two seasons and The Book of Boba Fett. If you need a refresher, then this is a must-watch.
The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars Galaxy continue in season 3. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the Galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.
The Mandalorian season 3 premieres on March 1.
