Bespin Bulletin has shared a new photo from the set of The Mandalorian season 3 confirming Axe Woves will return in the Disney+ series. Much to the disappointment of fans, he was missing from the show's season 2 finale (despite his allies Bo-Katan Kryze and Koska Reeves being present for that final attack on Moff Gideon), so this news is bound to be welcomed by Star Wars fans.
Previously, Katee Sackhoff teased plans for Simon Kassianides' Woves when she explained, "He just wasn’t there and there’s a reason. It’s just one of those things where I don’t know if the story is something I’m supposed to tell. So he’s just not there."
WWE Superstar Sasha Banks has confirmed she won't return in season 3 of The Mandalorian, but you never know whether that's true or not given the secrecy surrounding a franchise like this. Kassianides, meanwhile, has also promised there will be "answers" regarding his absence, so his character is clearly one who is going to be a pivotal part of whatever comes next for the Mandalorians.
It's also worth noting that the site mentions, "Kassianides was seen working with Katee Sackhoff on set, and the latter was seen shooting scenes with Din Djarin." With no word on Banks, we have to assume for now that Koska Reeves has been sidelined for the time being.
