The Book of Boba Fett wrapped up on Disney+ yesterday, but with a fair bit of the series dedicated to Din Djarin and Grogu, fans are understandably excited for The Mandalorian to return!
Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to hit the streaming service this May, while the first season of Andor is also on the way. However, there's still room for 'ol bucket head as TV Line is reporting that The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere this year. "It is a safe bet that Season 3 will premiere this year, probably around Life Day Christmastime," scooper Matt Webb Mitovich confirmed.
This makes sense as The Mandalorian has typically streamed around that time of year.
Remember, the first season debuted when Disney+ launched in November 2019, while season 2 ran from October to December the following year. However, with a tonne of Marvel Studios TV shows on the way and Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor on the horizon, it makes sense for The Mandalorian to launch slightly later (and around the same time as The Book of Boba Fett this past December).
When The Mandalorian returns, we're expecting to see Din Djarin and Grogu head to Mandalore as the former looks to regain his status as a Mandalorian. Aside from that, we don't really know what to expect, but we can't wait to see what Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and the team has in store for us.
Anyway, we're going to go ahead and predict a December 28 premiere; you heard it here first, folks!
