THE MANDALORIAN Star Giancarlo Esposito Reveals When Season 3 Premieres - And It's Way Sooner Than Expected!

While it's possible the actor has made a mistake, Giancarlo Esposito has dropped quite the bombshell about The Mandalorian's upcoming third season, claiming we'll see it quite a bit sooner than expected...

The Mandalorian is Disney+'s most popular original series, and by far the best thing to come out of the Disney-owned Lucasfilm. Work recently wrapped on the show's third season, and while we still have Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor to look forward to, there's a huge amount of excitement surrounding Din Djarin and Grogu's story continuing, especially after the events of The Book of Boba Fett

During a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show, Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito shared his thoughts on what he believes The Mandalorian will return with its next batch of episodes.

"You’ll get it soon. I got a few things in regard to that to do to put some finishing touches on what I do, but I believe it’ll be sometime this summer. No date set yet, but coming soon."

With Obi-Wan Kenobi set to premiere on May 27, we're not banking on actually seeing Mando over the summer. However, while Esposito may be mistaken here, it's fair to say this pretty much guarantees we'll see the series this side of Christmas (meaning The Mandalorian will keep its Winter premiere).

Then again, there's always a chance Disney+ will surprise us with an earlier than expected debut, especially as Andor could be better suited to that November/December slot. The latter month was, of course, when Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released in theaters way back in 2016.

Needless to say, we can't wait to see where Gideon's story goes next, especially as it appears he's pivotal in Emperor Palpatine returning as Supreme Leader Snoke given his apparent interest in cloning!
