With Pedro Pascal once again impressing everybody with his phenomenal work as Joel Miller in The Last of Us, it's easy to forget he'll return as Din Djarin in The Mandalorian just a few short weeks from now.

The actor was recently a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to discuss HBO's critically acclaimed video game adaptation, and Star Wars inevitably came up. While he was reluctant to reveal too much about what fans can expect from season 3, he did tease, "I will say there will be more Mandalorians. A lot of them. Big epic battle...plural? Maybe?"

Pascal would go on to joke that Grogu won't be part of season 3 because Disney was unable to reach a deal with The Child. He'd then go on to poke fun at the sheer level of secrecy surrounding the Disney+ series.

"He’s been very good, he’s still learning, teaching, protected, protecting...I think if I say any more, I’ll be replaced. Like, not just as the Mandalorian, but as a human being in life. Their technology is so sophisticated they’ll just replace me with a different Pedro Pascal."

Funnily enough, it's thought that he spent the least amount of time on set to date as Mando during season 3 because he was so busy with The Last of Us. As a result, Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder will be who we see in the Beskar armour for the majority of Din's screentime, though Pascal will, of course, continue to lend his voice to the bounty hunter hero.

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars Galaxy continue in season 3. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the Galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

The Mandalorian season 3 premieres on March 1.
