Earlier this month, the news broke that Jinkx Monsoon, winner of the fifth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, had joined the cast of the BBC's long-running sci-fi series, Doctor Who, and a first official look at their character has now been revealed.

We were told that Jinkx would have a "major role" at the time, and the show's Twitter account has now referred to their mysterious character as "the Doctor's most powerful enemy yet."

“In a galaxy of comets and supernovas, here comes the biggest star of all. Jinkx Monsoon is on a collision course with the TARDIS, and Doctor Who will never be the same again,” showrunner Russell T Davies said at the time of Monsoon's casting.

“I’m honored, thrilled, and utterly excited to join Doctor Who! Russell T Davies is a visionary and a brilliant writer — I can’t wait to get into the weeds with him and the crew! I hope there’s room in the TARDIS for my luggage,” Monsoon added.

Doctor Who returns in November for three special episodes, with David Tennant returning as the 14th Doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary. It's assumed this is when Jinkx will debut, but they may also factor into the next full season, which will see Ncuti Gatwa take over as the iconic Time Lord.
