The first photos from the set of Prime Video's upcoming adaptation of Fallout have found their way online, and they feature some iconic imagery that's bound to make fans happy. As with any video game adaptation, there's been some trepidation about whether a live-action version can do the source material justice, but we can't find fault with anything shown here.

As you can see below, an actor has been spotted wearing one of Vault-Tec's iconic blue jumpsuits. We also see what looks to be the inside of a Vault-Tec vault along with some power armour we're sure will be instantly recognisable to you (unfortunately, there's no sign of a helmet).

It looks like this series is taking its cues from Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, something that was evident from a video that surfaced earlier this month showing a live-action Super-Duper Mart (which you can also see below). Taking that into account, all signs point to this TV show being heavily inspired by those hit games rather than Fallout: New Vegas or earlier instalments.

A logline for the series explains that, "The world of Fallout is one where the future envisioned by Americans in the late 1940s explodes upon itself through a nuclear war in 2077. The magic of the Fallout world is the harshness of the wasteland set against the previous generation’s utopian idea of a better world through nuclear energy."

The show's cast includes Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Aaron Moten.

Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy developed the series for Prime Video, with the former set to direct the first episode. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner have been tapped as Fallout's showrunners and production will begin later this year, presumably for a 2023 debut.

Are you excited to see this live-action take on Fallout?
