We're going to have to wait a little longer for a trailer for the highly anticipated second season of Squid Game, but Netflix did debut a promo video during its TUDUM event over the weekend, giving us a first look at the logo and four new cast members.
Joining the returning Seong Gi-Hun (Lee Jung-Jae), the Front Man (Lee Byung-Hun), Hwang Jun-Ho (Wi Ha-Jun), and the Recruiter (Gong Yoo), will be Yim Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon, and Yang Dong-Geun.
Their characters aren't named, but the teaser shows each of them pressing the green button, signifying that they are ready to play the lethal game.
Squid Game was a massive success for Netflix, and remains the streamer's biggest ever show. We have heard that season 2 will be "bigger in every way," but won't have much of an idea of what to expect until we get a look at that trailer.
The first season focused on "people who fail at life for various reasons, who suddenly receive a mysterious invitation to participate in a survival game to win more than 38 million US dollars. The game takes place at an isolated island and the participants are locked up until there is a final winner. The story will incorporate popular children's games from the 1970s and 1980s of Korea, such as squid game, literal translation of its Korean name, which is a type of tag where offense and defense use a squid-shaped board drawn in the dirt."
