A24 will be looking to recapture some of their Everything Everywhere All at Once sci-fi magic for director Kristoffer Borgli's Dream Scenario.
The fantasy comedy will star Nicolas Cage as a college professor named Paul Matthews, who failed to gain renown but suddenly becomes an overnight celebrity when he begins turning up in the dreams of strangers.
Borgli also wrote the screenplay in addition to directing.
There's no trailer yet for pic but the film is set to debut next month at the Toronto International Film Festival.
A24 recently gave the film a November 10, 2023, domestic release date. The other notable film set for release on November 10, is The Marvels, the 33rd entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Deadline adds that when Paul's nighttime visits, "take a nightmarish turn, he is forced to navigate his newfound stardom."
In addition to Cage, the film also stars Julianne Nicholson (Togo, Blonde), Dylan Baker (Trick r' Treat, Revolutionary Road), Kate Berlant (Duck Butter, A League of Their Own), Michael Cera (Barbie), Dylan Gelula (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, First Girl I Loved), and Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live, The Benchwarmers).
Nicolas Cage is riding a career resurgence wave following years of B-movie and direct-to-video releases. Dream Scenario will follow 2021's Pig, 2022's The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and 2023's Sympathy for the Devil.
