A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS Blooper Reel Hits Ahead Of 4K, Blu-Ray, And DVD Release This Summer

With the first season of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms wrapped, fans are eagerly awaiting a return to Westeros to follow more adventures with Ser Duncan the Tall and Egg. While the series had its fair share of lighter moments, unlike what we’re used to from Game of Thrones, nothing beats the fun and laughs that happen behind the scenes.

HBO has now released a blooper reel, giving fans a peek at the cast goofing around during Season 1. Even with some darker storylines, it’s clear the actors had a blast filming this Game of Thrones spin-off. From forgotten lines to unexpected flatulence, the two-minute reel is packed with silliness and, thankfully, plenty of Lord Lyonel Baratheon antics.

The timing of the blooper reel coincides with Warner Bros. Home Entertainment’s announcement that A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season will hit 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on June 16, 2026. The home release includes all six episodes, two bonus featurettes, and extra goodies, including this very blooper reel. While it’s a bit odd to see it shared ahead of the official home release, perhaps an expanded version with even more behind-the-scenes hijinks is on the way.

Based on an adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s novella “The Hedge Knight,” the series brings to life the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall and his young squire, Egg, in a sweeping tale set a century before the events of Game of Thrones. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

Here's a list of all the special features that will be included in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Complete First Season when it arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD in June.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Bonus Featurettes:

  • “Building A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”

  • “Welcome to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” (Extended)

Additional Bonus Features:

  • “A Knight in the Making” web documentary series (Episodes 1-6)
  • “Ashford Meadow Set Tour with Dexter Sol Ansell”
  • “Inside the Episode” (Episodes 1-6)
  • Blooper Reel
  • Character Spotlights:
    • Meet Dunk
    • Meet Egg

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has already been renewed for a second season with production already underway. Filming begam in December 2025 with HBO targeting a 2027 release for season 2. The second season will cover the second novella, The Sworn Sword, which showrunner Ira Parker recently admitted was his favorite installment in Martin's trilogy.
