The second season of HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, has been able to continue filming during the ongoing Hollywood strikes, because the scripts for the season completed before SAG-AFTRA and the WGA took action, and the actors on the show are part of a British actors union.

This means that details and photos from the set have been finding their way online, and redanianintelligence.com has now shared some very interesting new info which teases a surprising connection to Game of Thrones.

Shooting is now underway at Leavesden Studios, and the site has obtained a photo from the crowd makeup booth marked "Undead." This obviously indicates that the White Walker's resurrected foot soldiers, aka wights, will be making an appearance at some point during the second season.

Why would this be a controversial development? Well, during this point in the A Song of Ice and Fire timeline, the Walkers were still dormant, and had basically passed into legend. Nobody had seen one of the "Others" for thousands of years, and the same goes for the wights.

Taking this into account, the inclusion of the undead really wouldn't make much sense - unless season 2 will feature either flashbacks, or flashforwards! GOT employed this narrative device on several occasions, and we have seen certain characters - the late King Viserys, for example - make what appear to be prophetic predictions of the future.

There may be another explanation for the photo, of course, but how would you feel if the wights were set to show up during House of the Dragon season 2? Drop us a comment down below, and check out the most recent video from the set.

"The prequel series finds the Targaryen dynasty at the absolute apex of its power, with more than 15 dragons under their yoke. Most empires—real and imagined—crumble from such heights. In the case of the Targaryens, their slow fall begins almost 193 years before the events of Game of Thrones, when King Viserys Targaryen breaks with a century of tradition by naming his daughter Rhaenyra heir to the Iron Throne. But when Viserys later fathers a son, the court is shocked when Rhaenyra retains her status as his heir, and seeds of division sow friction across the realm."

House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine (Peaky Blinders) as King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One) as Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy (Wanderlust) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Prince Daemon Targaryen.

An exact season 2 premiere date has yet to be announced.
