A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms may have drawn 6.7 million viewers in its first three days, but there’s at least one notable person who won’t be tuning in, and it comes as a surprise.

Appearing on the red carpet for the premiere of her new Amazon Prime thriller Steal, actress Sophie Turner was asked whether she plans to watch A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the latest Game of Thrones prequel series.

Surprisingly, Turner, who portrayed Sansa Stark in the original HBO series, admitted she has no plans to watch.

“If I’m totally honest, anything Game of Thrones, I don’t think I can…” Turner said.

“I can’t even hear the theme tune. It gives me, like… crazy anxiety,” the 29-year-old actress revealed.

Turner, who was just 13 years old when she began filming Game of Thrones, acknowledged that she “had the best time on the show,” but added matter-of-factly, “I can’t watch anything related to it.”

Personal issues aside, Turner did say she was excited for all of the actors involved in the series and is rooting for its success.

"But I'm really excited for all the actors on it, and I think it will probably be incredible because it is that universe," she said. "So, good luck to everyone involved. I won't be watching it, but I'll be rooting for you."

Turner recently revealed she has no desire to return to the Game of Thrones universe following the eight-season series.

"I feel that I was very happy with the way Sansa ended her story in Game of Thrones, and no one else was really happy with their ending," Turner told TheDirect earlier this year. "I feel like I got a good one, and so I don't know if I could revisit it."

The revelation comes as HBO is currently exploring the first spin-off set after the events of the original series. After scrapping a spin-off that would've centered around Kit Harington's character Jon Snow, HBO is now reportedly exploring an alternative sequel that will star Arya Stark, the younger sister of Turner's character Sansa.

Fans can catch Turner's latest series Steal on Amazon Prime Video. The six-episode thriller is now fully available to stream. Up next for the British actress is a starring role in Amazon's new Tomb Raider series. Turner will star as the titular protagonist Lara Croft in the live-action adaptation.

A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

The premiere episode of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is currently available to stream on HBO Max with new episodes released weekly on Sundays. This first season will consist of only six episodes, but the series has already been renewed for a second season.
