HOUSE OF THE DRAGON Episode 6 Clip Released As Olivia Cooke Recalls Getting Drunk Before First Day On Set

A clip from this coming Sunday's sixth episode of House of the Dragon has been released, as Alicent Hightower realizes that her friends in King's Landing are few and far between...

Next week's episode of House of the Dragon will commence after a 10-year time-jump, with Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke stepping into the roles of Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower, respectively.

Cooke was a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show, and the Mancunian actress brought the first clip from "The Princess and The Queen" with her.

In the brief sneak peek, we see Alicent come to the realization that her friends in court are few and far between, as the scheming Larys Strong makes it clear that his father, who was named Hand of the King in last week's episode, can not give impartial advice.

Cooke also recalls arriving for her first day on set... after a night on the sauce with British comedian Alan Carr! The actress reveals that she appeared on Carr's podcast the night before, and the pair got more than a little drunk.

Check out the clip and Cooke's amusing story in the player below.

"The prequel series finds the Targaryen dynasty at the absolute apex of its power, with more than 15 dragons under their yoke. Most empires—real and imagined—crumble from such heights. In the case of the Targaryens, their slow fall begins almost 193 years before the events of Game of Thrones, when King Viserys Targaryen breaks with a century of tradition by naming his daughter Rhaenyra heir to the Iron Throne. But when Viserys later fathers a son, the court is shocked when Rhaenyra retains her status as his heir, and seeds of division sow friction across the realm."

House of the Dragon stars Paddy Considine (Peaky Blinders) as King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke (Ready Player One) as Alicent Hightower, Emma D’Arcy (Wanderlust) as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Prince Daemon Targaryen. The show is set to premiere on August 21.
