With production now complete, Masters of the Universe star Nicholas Galitzine is lifting the curtain on his transformation into Prince Adam.
In newly shared behind-the-scenes content, Galitzine revealed the character’s iconic pink tunic, a clear tribute to the classic animated series, and offered a glimpse into the rigorous training regimen that helped him embody the power and presence of Eternia’s iconic hero.
Starring opposite Nicholas Galitzine is Oscar-winner Jared Leto (Morbius, Tron: Ares), who steps into the role of the sinister Skeletor with his trademark intensity, bringing a fresh sense of menace to the iconic villain.
The official synopsis for the upcoming Masters of the Universe film reveals a fresh and ambitious take on He-Man’s origin story, one that begins not on Eternia, but here on Earth.
After a cosmic catastrophe separates a young Prince Adam from his homeworld, the ten-year-old is accidentally transported to Earth, where he becomes stranded and loses the Power Sword, the mystical artifact that holds the key to his identity and heroic destiny.
Fast-forward nearly twenty years, and Adam is living an unremarkable life, unaware of his royal lineage or the immense power he once possessed. That all changes when he unexpectedly rediscovers the long-lost sword, reawakening the magic within and setting off a chain reaction that pulls him back to the war-torn world of Eternia.
Upon his return, Adam finds a kingdom in crisis, with the dark sorcerer Skeletor rising to claim the throne. As he grapples with the truth about who he is, Adam must rise to the challenge, embracing his destiny and transforming into He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.
Blending grounded emotion with epic fantasy, the story begins with a relatable, Earth-bound journey of self-discovery before expanding into a high-stakes battle across a magical realm filled with danger, destiny, and legacy-shaping choices.
The film also boasts an impressive supporting cast: Camila Mendes as the fearless warrior Teela, Alison Brie as the cunning Professor Evelyn Powers (a reimagined Evil-Lyn), Idris Elba as the battle-hardened Duncan / Man-At-Arms, and Morena Baccarin as the wise Sorceress of Castle Grayskull.
Royal duties fall to James Purefoy as King Randor and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena Glenn, rounding out an ensemble fit for the throne of Eternia.
