Cameras have been rolling on Dune: Part 2 in Abu Dhabi since July, and star Timothée Chalamet has now announced that production has officially wrapped.

The Bones and All actor shared an Instagram selfie from the desert alongside his father, who was visiting him on the set.

Part 1 concluded with Paul Atreides and his mother, the Lady Jessica, being accepted by the Fremen and taken to their "Sietch." Paul was forced to take Jamis' life in order to prove his worth, and it's a decision that will ultimately inform his destiny.

Dune: Part 2's new cast additions include Austin Butler as Feyd Rautha, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, the legendary Christopher Walken as The Emperor, and Lea Seydoux as Lady Margot Fenring. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin, and Dave Bautista will reprise their roles from the first film.

The synopsis reads: “Part Two will focus on Paul assembling a massive army of Fremen to combat the ruthless Harkonnen, as he essentially becomes a mythical messiah figure to the inhabitants of Arrakis.”

Dune: Part Two was recently pushed back from October 20, 2023 to November 17, 2023.

@pitbull76 - I think it went into filming in July. So it seems about right. They were already planning for a sequel so a lot of the prep and writing was already to go.
