With the third season of Love Death + Robots set to debut on Netflix later this month, the streaming giant has finally released the official trailer for the latest volume of episodes in the animated anthology series. It's been confirmed that Volume 3 of Love Death + Robots will consist of nine animated short stories. The trailer not only reveals the titles of each episode, but also provides a brief glimpse of them. Additionally, Netflix has shared the synopsis for each of the episodes.
As expected, each episode in Volume 3 differs drastically in both animation style, tone, and premise. We've got ancient evils, a rat uprising, and the first direct sequel in Love, Death + Robots history.
Returning to the series is writer John Scalzi with "Three Robots: Exit Strategies." The short takes us back to the post-apocalyptic future as the three titular robots try to deduce what wiped out mankind.
Producer David Fincher is also making his animation directing debut with "Bad Travelling," a short that takes us aboard a shark-hunting sailing vessel that's attacked by a giant crustacean. The episode is written by Andrew Kevin Walker and based on the short story by British sci-fi writer Neal Asher. Tim Miller is also heavily involved this season, writing and directing "Swarm" and writing the short story for which "Night of the Mini Dead" is based on.

Three Robots: Exit Strategies
The first direct sequel in Love, Death + Robots history – from the mind of acclaimed sci-fi novelist John Scalzi. The titular trio of droll droids return to take a whirlwind tour studying post-apocalyptic human survival strategies before mankind was finally snuffed out.

Once again, it looks like Love Death + Robots will deliver another solid batch of animated short stories. Love Death + Robots Volume 3 arrives on Netflix on May 20. Unfortunately, it sounds like it'll be over all too soon as there are only nine episodes featured in this volume.
