Yesterday evening, we learned that Warner Bros. Discovery has taken the decision to push Dune: Part Two from its original early November release date to next March.
It's a perplexing move, particularly when the sequel's marketing campaign is already well underway. It appears WBD feels splashy premieres and cast interviews are vital to the movie's success, all while being among the studios failing to pay writers and actors what they deserve.
This delay may ultimately do more harm than good and the timing couldn't be worse as Empire Magazine has picked Dune: Part Two for its next issue's cover story. A piece that was originally set to precede the movie by a couple of months now hits stands a good six months before its new release date, but hey, we still get to enjoy this gorgeous new look at the next chapter in this story!
As you can see below, Dune: Part Two's heroes and villains receive the spotlight, teasing the war that's coming to Arrakis. It's a phenomenal lineup of talent and one we can appreciate the studio wanting to put the spotlight on.

The saga continues in award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve's Dune: Part Two, the next chapter of Frank Herbert's celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast.
"Dune: Part Two: will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family," reads the synopsis. "Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee."
New and returning stars include Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet), Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Dave Bautista, Christopher Walken, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Léa Seydoux, with Stellan Skarsgård, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem.
