Family Guy season 22 is set to premiere on October 1, and a first look at the latest batch of episodes has found its way online (via Toonado.com).
The lengthy promo teases this season's major storylines, including Peter starting his new job, the Griffin family's Florida vacation gone wrong, Lois becoming a substitute teacher at Chris's school, and Meg becoming a surrogate mother.
The show also takes a swipe at Dune star Timothée Chalamet being cast in the lead role of Paul Atreides, with an emaciated take on the actor blowing away in the wind and Peter chasing after him. The actor's slight physique has been made fun of in the past, with some questioning his believably as an action-based leading man (nonsense, of course, but this is the internet).
This isn't the first time the series has made fun of Chalamet, but the actor has been asked about the previous incidents during interviews, and seems to have a sense of humor about the whole thing!
Family Guy's popularity seems to have waned somewhat over the years (at least in the eyes of long-time fans), but the show recently nabbed its 31st Emmy nomination, so it must be doing something right.
Family Guy season 22 returns to Fox's Animation Domination programming block, alongside The Simpsons season 35 and Bob's Burgers season 14.
