ALIEN: COVENANT - Newly Revealed Deleted Scene Shows An Even Bloodier Version Of That Shower Sex Scene

A new deleted/extended scene from Alien: Covenant has been revealed, showing the Xenomorph making short work of Ricks and Upworth during that memorable shower sex scene in Sir Ridley Scott's sequel...

Prometheus was a bold new step for the Alien franchise, but one that also drew a mixed response from fans. Filmmaker Sir Ridley Scott followed that with Alien: Covenant, a sequel that put Xenomorphs front and centre again, but drew mostly negative reviews and underwhelming box office takings.

With Disney now in charge of Alien, a new FX TV series is in the works...and that's it, for now!

However, thanks to AVP Galaxy, we have a deleted scene from Alien: Covenant that serves as a nice reminder of how much fun these movies can be to watch (making us hope Disney will bring Xenomorphs back to theaters sooner rather than later). In this sequence, we see Ricks (Jussie Smollett) and Upworth (Callie Hernandez) meet their makers in a suitably gory fashion.

While this scene did make it into the theatrical cut, this extended version features an even more brutal death for Upworth. In Alien: Covenant, the camera panned away before we could see that, but this take shows the Xenomorph use its tail to draw her in before pouncing on the poor woman.

This is a little gratuitous but might have made Upworth's demise hit a little harder. We're not sure where the site found this scene, but it's always fun to see what might have been.
