It's Morphin Time!

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are back in the official trailer for their upcoming 30th Anniversary Reunion Special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, which looks even more morphenomenal - and emotional - than we could've ever imagined.

As we've known since the initial announcement, the upcoming Netflix special will pay tribute to the late Thuy Trang (Trini Kwan/Yellow Ranger I), who tragically passed away in 2001. The new trailer sheds some light on the major plot point, as we witness a suited-up Trini sacrifice herself to save Billy (David Yost) from Robo-Rita's fatal attack. We learn her fate shortly thereafter as her daughter Minh (Charlie Kersh) asks about the Rangers' next move.

From the original Mighty Morphin cast, both David Yost (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger) and Walter Jones (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger I) will suit up and will be joined by Season 2 and 3 cast members Steve Cardenas (Rocky DeSantos/Red Ranger II), and Catherine Sutherland (Kat Hillard/Pink Ranger II).

Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park/Black Ranger II) and Karan Ashley (Aisha Campbell/Yellow Ranger II) are also back in supporting roles as members of the mysterious SPA, with newcomer Charlie Kersh portraying Trini's daughter Minh Kwan.

Richard Steven Horvitz reprises his role as the voice of Alpha 5, with Barbara Goodson voicing Robo-Rita.

Austin St. John (Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger I), Amy Jo Johnson (Kimberly Hart/Pink Ranger I), and the late Jason David Frank (Jason David Frank/Green Ranger) will not be part of the Special, but the trailer confirms we will, at least, see the morphed versions of their iconic characters.

Also, unfortunately, since the Special was filmed prior to Frank's sudden passing last December, it's probably unlikely they were able to make any significant changes to the story, but we would imagine he'll be honored in some way as well.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always starts streaming exclusively on Netflix on April 19.

Check out the official trailer below:

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, 30 years after the wise and powerful Zordon formed the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the team comes face-to-face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs. Inspired by the legendary mantra from the franchise “Once a Ranger, always a Ranger,” Once & Always reminds everyone when you become a Ranger, you are always a part of the Ranger family and always welcome.

Don’t know how I feel about Robo Rita but at least they got Barbara Goodson back and not one of those replacement voice actors.
