Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver arrives on Netflix later this month, but for many Zack Snyder fans, this summer's director's cuts of that and Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire are even more exciting.

Talking to Forbes, Zack Snyder confirmed that they'll clock in at a whopping three hours each, meaning you'll need to carve out a good chunk of time if you plan on watching them in one sitting!

"Yeah, the director’s cuts are three hours each, so if you were to watch the director’s cuts back-to-back, it’s a six-hour affair but I think it’s going to be fun and definitely worth it," he explained. "What’s exciting is that on April 19, you’ll be able to watch Part One and Two together, if you feel like doing that. I cut the movies in half. I wrote it as a single story and then kind of broke it in half."

"You can’t underestimate that immersive feeling that you would get going all the way through the two movies," Snyder continued. "With the director’s cuts, that’s just going to be more intense because of the additional scenes and the sort of coloring in the corners of the world in the way that we’re able to do, frankly, with more scenes and more time."

As for when we'll actually get to watch those, the filmmaker added, "We don’t have a hard date but probably sometime in August, I would say."

While Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire reportedly did well in terms of viewers on Netflix, it took a mauling from critics. Should viewership fall for the sequel (which is a risk after reviews like that), then this could be where the sci-fi franchise ends. Snyder, however, has threequel plans.

"We have definitely been working on a Part Three, as far as the story goes," he teases. "We definitely know where we’re all headed - we’ve known that for quite a while, to be honest. So yeah, I’m excited to make some more Rebel Moon movies - that would be fun..."

Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle, the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.

Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver starts streaming on Netflix on April 19.
