AHSOKA Episode 4 Ends With A Shocking Death And A Jaw-Dropping Surprise Return - SPOILERS

We've hit the halfway point in Ahsoka and "Fallen Jedi" ended with quite the cliffhanger thanks to what appeared to be a shocking character death and a surprise return that'll leave your jaw on the floor!

In today's episode of Ahsoka, Morgan Elsbeth enacts her plan to find Grand Admiral Thrawn with the help of the mysterious dark Jedi, Baylan Skoll.

The map reveals a path to where the Purgill took him and Ezra Bridger at the end of Star Wars Rebels, but with Sabine Wren busy battling Shin Hati, it's down to Ahsoka Tano to put a stop to their quest (even if it means never finding Ezra).

The former Jedi engages in battle with Baylan, and we learn that he knows Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. Very little else about him is revealed, though he wants Thrawn to return so the Grand Admiral can start a war. Why? Well, Baylan seems to think it will create peace and has his own mysterious plans for the Galaxy.

Baylan eventually overpowers Ahsoka and it's then Sabine shows up. She grabs the map and Ahsoka implores her to destroy it; sensing Sabine's hesitation, the villain strikes Ahsoka down with his lightsaber, sending her hurtling from the cliff into the water below.

Yes, it appears this fan-favourite Jedi we first met as a child in The Clone Wars is dead!

Back on land, Baylan convinces Sabine to give him the map, promising no harm will come to her if she joins them on their journey to find Thrawn (which, as a result, will mean she is reunited with her friend, Ezra). She does so and, while it's not exactly a turn of the Dark Side, Baylan may well see potential in the Mandalorian.

As for Ahsoka, we pick up with her in what appears to be the World Between Worlds. A familiar voice says, "Hello, Snips," and when she turns around, Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker is staring back at her!

"I didn't expect to see you so soon," he says with a smile, and as the screen fades to black, we hear Darth Vader's theme play. Is this Anakin's Force Ghost in the afterlife or a more sinister force? That remains to be seen, especially as the rules of the World Between Worlds have never been firmly established.

We know it's a mystical plane within the Force that served as a collection of doors and pathways existing between time and space, linking all moments in time together. However, this ending seems to suggest Ahsoka is dead, so what in the Galaxy is she doing there?

We'll find out next week. Don't be surprised if the focus shifts to these two before picking up with Thrawn and Ezra the following week (if not later). Clearly, the plan is to make us wait before seeing them again, but it's hard to complain after witnessing this reunion...
