Star Wars fans are still talking about last week's fifth episode of Ahsoka, and Lucasfilm has now shared a behind-the-scenes look at Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker's long-awaited reunion.
These characters first met in animated form in The Clone Wars, before encountering each other again as enemies in Star Wars Rebels. However, in "Shadow Warrior," Ahsoka Tano and her former master shared the screen for the first time in live-action.
"It's really, really powerful for Ahsoka, to see her guard come down," Rosario Dawson says in the video. "We know her as a stoic, super-powerful, on top of it, warrior, and all of a sudden, she's Padawan again."
Christensen reprised the role of Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, but this marked the first time he got to play Anakin Skywalker pre-dark side turn since the prequel trilogy.
"When I got the phone call to talk about being part of the Ahsoka project, I was thrilled," he shares. "It kind of blows your mind every time. I just feel very grateful."
As it turns out, Dawson and Christensen already knew each other, as they met in an acting class as teenagers prior to their Hollywood careers taking off.
"To have that kind of history with him, it really was like seeing my old friend," Dawson adds.
