With reports swirling that new footage from Obi-Wan Kenobi is "imminent," an interesting rumour has started doing the rounds suggesting Loki composer Natalie Holt has been enlisted to score the Disney+ series. Her work on that Marvel Studios TV show received widespread critical acclaim, so we're very excited to see what she could bring to the table in this Galaxy Far, Far Away.
The rumour originated on a John Williams fansite before being shared by Bespin Bulletin.
Since scoring Loki, Holt has also been enlisted to work on upcoming DC Comics movie Batgirl. Her star is on the rise, and if a new trailer is right around the corner, we could hear some of her score for the first time there. There's been no word on who will serve as Obi-Wan Kenobi's composer before now, but it was back in February we learned that Willaims would return to create the main theme.
The legendary composer scored all nine movies, and provided themes for Solo: A Star Wars Story and the Galaxy's Edge theme park. While he has created a theme for Obi-Wan, Holt (assuming she is the show's composer) will obviously score the rest of the series across its six episode run.
We'll see if this rumour is true but, as you can see below, it sounds like news is coming soon.
Obi-Wan Kenobi arrives on Disney+ with its first two episodes on May 27.
