The first teaser trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi set the stage for what looks to be a truly incredible six episodes of television when the limited series arrives on Disney+ this May. Understandably, Star Wars fans are already anxious to see more footage from the show, and it sounds like it's coming very soon!
According to Making Star Wars, sources at Disney have told them that we should have new footage from Obi-Wan Kenobi within the next week. It's unclear whether this will be a featurette or trailer, but it sounds like the marketing campaign is about to kick off in a big way. Following that big Darth Vader leak, we can't help but wonder if Lucasfilm finally plans to pull back the curtain on the Sith Lord.
The series has been plagued by leaks since that teaser dropped, so some of the surprises that were originally being held back for the premiere could now be shared in advance to build excitement.
Whatever is on the way, it's bound to be welcomed by fans. While Star Wars Celebration does take place between May 26 - 29, it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to wait until the day before the first two episodes drop to share a new sneak peek. We're sure Lucasfilm will pull out all the stops to hype up Obi-Wan Kenobi in Anaheim (possibly with an early screening), but another trailer would be welcomed.
Hopefully, we'll have more on the show to share with you soon. Hayden Christensen recently talked about watching The Clone Wars to prepare for his role in the series and you can read about that here.
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres with its first two episodes on Disney+ on May 27.
