STAR WARS: Liam Neeson Open To Qui-Gon Jinn Return...But Only If It's On The BIG Screen!

Despite rumours that we'll see Liam Neeson reprise the role of Qui-Gon Jinn in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the actor has said he'd only be interested in returning to a Galaxy Far, Far Away of it's on the big screen...

Liam Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn in 1999's Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, and while it was a one-off appearance for the actor, the Jedi Master remains a firm fan-favourite. Over the years, we've seen him lend his voice to the hero in The Clone Wars and got to hear Qui-Gon among the many Jedi voices in The Rise of Skywalker; however, Obi-Wan Kenobi seems the most likely place for him to return.

That would obviously be as a Force Ghost, but during a recent interview with ComicBook.com to discuss his new movie Memory, Neeson seemingly shot down the possibility of a cameo on TV.

"Oh, I think so, yeah, yeah, yeah, I think so...if it was a film," the actor said about a possible return. "Yeah, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to TV, I must admit, I just like the big screen, you know? Qui-Gon, I can't believe it's 24 years since we made [Star Wars:] The Phantom Menace, I just cannot believe where the time has gone. It was a terrific experience, shooting that film in London."

Something tells us Neeson might be looking to throw fans off the scent here, especially as he's made his fair share of small screen appearances over the years (including recently in Derry Girls).

If we are going to see Qui-Gon in Obi-Wan Kenobi, then you have to believe Lucasfilm will do everything within its power to keep that a surprise for fans. If it doesn't happen here, then we're not sure when or where it really could, especially as the Jedi is so closely tied to his former Padawan and Anakin Skywalker. Ahsoka is a possibility, but not a particularly likely one in all honesty.
