Star Tours remains one of the most iconic rides across nearly all of Disney's theme parks and recently received yet another update. After previously being rethemed to include characters and locations from the Star Wars sequels, it now pulls inspiration from Lucasfilm's Disney+ TV shows.
Din Djarin and Grogu (The Mandalorian), Ahsoka Tano (Ahsoka), and Cassian Andor (Andor) are among the heroes you could encounter on the simulator, but it's what the former says that's got fans talking.
During Din's appearance, he mentions that "A battle is brewing, and we can no longer stand in the shadows." Despite being a relatively generic statement, some are convinced that the Mandalorian is referring to whatever is brewing in his corner of the Star Wars Universe.
The Mandalorian & Grogu movie is on the way and we're expecting that to set the stage for Ahsoka season 2 and Dave Filoni's eventual big screen Star Wars project (expected to be a crossover event pitting many of Disney+'s small screen heroes against Grand Admiral Thrawn).
Interestingly, this Din Djarin doesn't appear to be portrayed by Pedro Pascal; instead, it's a soundalike. In contrast, Rosario Dawson and Diego Luna do represent their respective roles.
Recently, Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito was asked whether he believes The Mandalorian will return for additional seasons on Disney+.
"I would do as many as they want me to do," the actor teased, "You know, with a show that's so steeped in mythology and has such a great story to tell, that is a show that you can watch with your family...That's a show I want to see."

Star Tours first opened in 1987 as a collaboration between Disney and Lucasfilm. The ride places visitors in the role of passengers aboard a spaceship operated by the fictional Star Tours travel agency. Riders then embark on an exhilarating journey through space, encountering iconic Star Wars characters, locations, and scenarios.
The attraction's storyline centres around a turbulent and often comedic voyage, filled with unexpected twists and turns as the ship navigates through various intergalactic destinations. Advanced motion simulation technology immerses riders in the experience, replicating the sensation of space flight with thrilling visual effects and motion.
Throughout the ride, passengers encounter beloved characters such as C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader, and Yoda, as well as iconic locations like Tatooine, Hoth, and the Death Star. The attraction received several updates over the years, incorporating elements from different Star Wars eras and films to keep fans coming back for more.
The Mandalorian & Grogu is set to be released in theaters on May 22, 2026.
