Starring in John Wick put Keanu Reeves back on the map and he's since established himself as perhaps the most badass action star in Hollywood.
While his future as John Constantine is now in doubt, Marvel fans remain hopeful he might one day make those fan casts come true by playing Ghost Rider in the MCU. In the meantime, though, it appears Reeves could be planning to head into a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
According to Giant Freakin Robot, the actor has already shot a cameo role in the upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series The Acolyte.
Reeves has long been linked to projects set in the Old Republic, primarily because he's a fan-favourite choice to play Darth Revan (who first appeared in the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic video game). Could that character now be pulled into this High Republic era?
It's certainly a possibility, though it's equally as likely Reeves has just shot a fun supporting role so he can tick Star Wars off his acting bucket list! Lucasfilm taking note of those Revan fan casts would be cool, though, and a quick flashback to darker times might give Reeves the chance to even just lend his voice to the Sith Lord.
This site doesn't have the greatest track record, of course, but accurately reported on Linda Hamilton joining the cast of Stranger Things season 5 and has got at least a few scoops correct in the past. For now, though, we'd advise taking this report with a pinch of salt.
The Acolyte will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era with the story of former Padawan who reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes but discovers the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.
The series stars Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Carrie-Anne Moss, Margarita Levieva and Joonas Suotamo. In addition to writing and directing, Headland serves as an executive producer with Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef. Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson produce.
The Acolyte is currently expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
