This week's penultimate season 3 episode of The Mandalorian, "The Spies," upped the ante considerably with a tense, action-packed chapter that concluded with the noble sacrifice of a major supporting character.

With Din Djarin captured and his fellow Mandalorians pinned down by Moff Gideon's forces, Paz Vizsla (Tait Fletcher) decides to hold off their enemies for as long as possible to allow Bo-Katan and the others to escape, ultimately falling in battle to three fearsome Praetorian Guards (this is the way).

Though we never saw Paz's face and he wasn't featured too prominently over the past three seasons, it was still a heartbreaking moment for fans of the character, and it sounds like next Wednesday's finale is going to be even more emotional.

"This next episode is gonna make you wish you hadn't asked for [another episode]," actor Brendan Wayne, the in-suit stand-in for Pendro Pascal, wrote in his Instagram story. "It might just hurt too much."

It sounds like we're going to lose someone else, but who could it be? Several different rumors are doing the rounds online at the moment, one of which claims that Din Djarin himself is going to be killed off.

While this might seem highly unlikely, it would confirm another recent rumor that Pascal is looking to hang up his Beskar armor after this season.

We're not buying into this one, but it would certainly be a swerve nobody saw coming.
