Following Tuesday's teaser, Apple TV+ has finally revealed the name of Vince Gilligan's new highly anticipated series, sharing a first look teaser and some broad level details.

The new Apple Original series is titled Pluribus, and is set to premiere on the streaming service on Friday, November 7, 2025 for a nine episode inaugural season. The first two episodes will be released, followed by new episodes every Friday through December 26. The good news is that Pluribus has already been picked up for a second season, so you can head into the series without the worry of it being canceled abruptly.

Pluribus is described as a "genre-bending original in which the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness."

That most miserable person is played by Rhea Seehorn, the two-time Emmy nominated actress best known for her performance in Better Call Saul.

In a previous interview, Gilligan, who created the series and serves as executive producer and showrunner, admitted that he wrote Pluribus specifically for Seehorn.

“She’s such a pleasure to work with, I wrote a show for her. I created this new show for her," Gilligan said back in February. “I’m excited for audiences to see Rhea play a very different character than the character she played on Better Call Saul. She plays someone who’s trying very hard to be good. She’s a bit of a damaged hero, but she’s a hero nonetheless. And it’s just a pleasure to work with her because she’s just the best, and she is so sweet and kind and talented. I can’t say enough good about her.”

As part of this week's reveal, Apple TV+ unveiled the first teaser trailer for Pluribus. On the surface, we see a woman in medical scrubs standing behind the front desk of a lobby, systematically licking every donut in a box that's labeled "Help yourself!” with a smiley face. After licking each one, she puts them back in the box.

The teaser likely contains plenty of hidden context clues for what to expect from this mysterious and intriguing series, including the spelling of the show's title. Although Apple TV+ plus calls it "Pluribus," the stylized spelling it he trailer replaces the "i" with a "1". The donuts being licked may also serve as a metaphor, like toxic positivity.

Thankfully, with a November premiere date, we won't have to wait too long to find out just what is going on. Pluribus will premiere on Friday, November 7, 2025 on Apple TV+.
