Westworld has added another Academy Award-winner to its cast for the upcoming fourth season, with West Side Story star Ariana DeBose set to join the acclaimed HBO sci-fi drama series in a recurring role.
The news comes on the heels of last night's first trailer, which teased some very sinister scenes and left fans with a lot of questions.
Details on DeBose's part are said to be a closely guarded secret, but you'll find a first look at her character below in a new official still.
Season 3 appeared to wrap up the current storyline, with Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood) sacrificing herself to ensure the survival of her people. However, the trailer revealed that Dolores is set to return along with fellow principal protagonists Maeve Millay (Thandiwe Newton), Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright), and Caleb Nichols (Aaron Paul).
Plot details remain a mystery for now. We do have a brief logline, but all it tells us is that season 4 of Westworld will be “a dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth.”
Westworld returns to our screens on June 26.
