A brand-new trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel to 2017's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild debuted during today's Nintendo Direct, giving fans a much better idea of what to expect from Link's latest fantasy adventure video game.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will see the evil demon Ganondorf (who sounds a lot like Matt Mercer to us?) launch a massive aerial and ground attack on the kingdom of Hyrule, with the titular princess imploring the Hylian hero and his trusty Master Sword to intervene.

This game will feature many of the same aspects as its predecessor, including a detailed open-world environment, which is expanded to allow for more vertical exploration.

Tears of the Kingdom will be the first Nintendo Switch exclusive to retail for $69.99, which has not sat very well with some fans. The collector's edition, meanwhile, will cost $129.99 - but it includes an artbook, a Steelbook case, an Iconart steel poster, and a set of four pin badges.

Despite rumors of a significant release date delay, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still set to hit shelves on May 12th. Do you guys plan on picking this up? Drop us a comment down below.
