Despite something of a slow start, Andor has really begun to find its feet in recent weeks. Now, that early praise seems fully justified, and it's become easy to get engrossed in the stories of these characters.
The focus isn't only on Cassian Andor, though, and Adria Arjona's Bix Caleen is among those we've been following over the course of this first season. While things look dire for her at the moment, a new report from Galactic Transmission suggests the character has a bright future in the Star Wars franchise.
Apparently, Arjona has signed a deal that will see her appear in other upcoming projects. We'd assume Andor season 2 is among them, but it looks like Bix will play a role in other TV shows set during this time period. Most interesting, however, is the claim that the actress is also committed to potentially starring in her own series.
We're not sure the Rebel's story justifies her own spin-off, but it is exciting to think about what comes next for her in this Galaxy Far, Far Away.
Arjona rose to fame for her roles in Emily, Narcos, and True Detective, and also appeared in Morbius earlier this year. That's probably a project she's hoping to forget, though she's certainly bounced back by landing a starring role in Andor.
Over the course of this Disney+ series, we've learned that Bix has a history with Cassian and is tied to the group of Rebels led by Luthen Rael. This has resulted in her falling into the clutches of evil ISB operative Dedra Meera, and we're currently unsure how she will escape the Empire's clutches.
As always, it's best to take reports like these with a pinch of salt. As far as we're aware, Lucasfilm doesn't have many other upcoming projects set during this period in Star Wars history beyond Andor season 2, though the studio has yet to shed any light on its 2024 plans.
Stay tuned for updates.
