STAR WARS: REVENGE OF THE SITH's Iconic Youngling Was Paid A Shockingly Low Amount For His Role In The Movie

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith actor Ross Beadman has looked back at his iconic role in the movie, revealing he was paid little to nothing for what's proved to be one of the blockbuster's most quoted scenes.

Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith documented Anakin Skywalker's fall to the Dark Side, and one of the movie's most memorable - and shocking - scenes came when "Darth Vader" murdered the Jedi Younglings in cold blood.

With Hayden Christensen reprising his most famous role in Obi-Wan Kenobi, there's been a lot of chatter about the scene, particularly as we saw Anakin kill even more children in flashbacks. That's also led to actor Ross Beadman stepping back into the spotlight; as you may recall, he played the youngling Sors Bandeam in Episode III and uttered that now infamous line.

We are, of course, referring to, "Master Skywalker, there are too many of them! What are we going to do?" Well, nothing as it turns out because the poor kids were murdered moments later.

It was arguably one of the Star Wars franchise's darkest scenes, but Ross didn't walk away with much more than his memories. Talking to The Geeknd, he revealed that he was paid only £90 (that's roughly $100) for his Revenge of the Sith role. He says the scene was done in four takes and only took around 15 minutes at most to shoot.

This was the standard minimum wage at the time and, despite being a shockingly low amount, it's in line with what non-SAG (Screen Actors Guild) members would receive. It's also worth noting that Beadman was only hired as a background extra and landed this speaking part when the then-6-year-old volunteered to say the line.

According to the actor, Christensen shouted "Boo" from behind the camera to scare the child, though he couldn't comprehend at the time that his character was about to die. "It took me a little bit of a while to accept that [I died] and go through the grieving process for myself," Beadman laughed.

Had his Jedi youngling escaped, Beadman believes he "could've been a member of the Sith. The hatred could've consumed me to the point where I wanted to get revenge on the person who killed all my schoolmates." Funnily enough, that's pretty much the story arc we saw play out for Reva in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Going back to the dismal amount of money he earned for starring in Revenge of the Sith, the actor made it clear he holds no hard feelings, calling the experience "priceless."
