The Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series featured its share of surprise appearances over the course of its six episodes, but arguably the most unexpected was a brief cameo from The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison.

The veteran Once Were Warriors actor wasn't playing the legendary bounty hunter, however.

As most Star Wars fans will no doubt be aware, Boba's father Jango Fett (who Morrison played in Attack of the Clones) was the genetic basis for the Republic's clone army, who found themselves all-but obsolete when they were replaced by Stormtroopers after the rise of the Empire. Morrison appeared as one of these down-on-his luck clones, who is seen asking Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) for some change in the second episode.

"That was the best part of the whole Obi-Wan Kenobi show!" Morrison tells Total Film. "I'm joking. I really enjoyed that. Playing around in their storyline and their timezone – things are changing. I'm representing all that clone army that are no longer around anymore."

As for how the cameo came about, Morrison revealed that both shows were filming at the same time and in the same location, making a crossover relatively easy to accomplish.

"It was a wonderful opportunity to pop in there and see what they're doing across the room from where we were," he added. "That came in handy, it worked out quite good to make a little cameo. I enjoyed working with Ewan again, going back to Attack of the Clones. We did all that [puts on clone character's voice], "Hey, you! You came to see me and this army," and all that stuff. It was a wonderful time."

Morrison is expected to reprise the role of Boba Fett at some point, but whether he'll get the chance to play one of the more recognizable clone characters, such as Captain Rex, remains to be seen.
