Too posh to push? What if you're too busy to even carry a baby to term? The Womb Center has a solution.

The Pod Generation, a new sci-fi satire from French-American filmmaker Sophie Barthés (Cold Souls, Madam Bovary), had its world premiere earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, and the first trailer is now online.

The story follows New York couple Rachel (Emilia Clarke) and Alvy (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who want to start a family... but not in the old-fashioned way. In the (very) near future, children can be "grown" in detachable, artificial wombs (a.k.a. pods) that allow both parents to share the pregnancy on equal footing.

Alvy has some concerns, but Rachel ultimately convinces him to give it a go, and the couple begin the pod process.

This may seem like the perfect set-up for a grim sci-fi thriller or horror film, but the trailer actually has a pretty light-hearted tone. Unfortunately, critics haven't been overly impressed thus far, as the film is currently sitting at 38% on Rotten Tomatoes with 50 reviews counted.

Along with Clarke and Ejiofor, the cast includes Rosalie Craig, Vinette Robinson, and Jean-Marc Barr.

The Pod Generation arrives in theaters on Aug. 11.
