"Fun for long-time Trekkies and new fans alike, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds continues to be a bold and fun exploration of the far reaches of our galaxy," writes JoBlo's Alex Maidy.
Other reviews point out the shows ability to jump between genres, explore emotional character arcs, and deliver on classic Star Trek tropes.
Paste Magazine's Elijah Gonzalez states: "All things considered, Strange New Worlds continues to do an excellent job at adapting Star Trek to this era of television, maintaining the series’ episodic structure and unvarnished optimism."
More than anything, the latest season sounds like pure fun, even if the story is a bit predictable.
"Where the series will boldly go next might be somewhat predictable, but it’s still very much one of the most fun sci-fi shows on T," adds Inverse's Ryan Britt.
In season three of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, we reconnect with the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still under the command of Captain Pike (Anson Mount), as they face the conclusion of season two’s harrowing encounter with the Gorn.
