While Obi-Wan Kenobi was criticised by some fans for what they felt was an overreliance on The Volume, it's hard to deny that the series was a real treat for Star Wars fans.
Set between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, this previously untold story saw "Ben" forced to come out of hiding in order to protect a young Princess Leia. Along the way, he learned Anakin Skywalker was not only alive, but that he was now known as the fearsome Sith Lord, Darth Vader.
They clashed on two occasions, including in an emotional finale that saw Obi-Wan accept that the man he knew as a friend was truly gone.
However, that wasn't the scene which brought star Ewan McGregor to tears.
During a recent interview with Disney Studios Awards, the actor said it was his final scene with Vivien Lyra Blair - which sees Obi-Wan bid farewell to the young girl - that he found incredibly emotional.
"When I saw Episode 6 [of Obi-Wan Kenobi] for the first time...I got to see them down where we show in Manhattan Beach, and I went down there, and I watched Episodes 1 to 3," McGregor recalls. "They literally shut me in a room on my own, and I was so impressed."
"But when...I was sitting there, and I watched Episode 6...when I tell [Vivien Lyra Blair’s Leia], 'May the Force Be With You,' at the end, I burst into tears. I was sitting there [and] there’s something so moving about it."
It was a standout scene and one that really cemented Obi-Wan's relationship with Anakin's daughter (better explaining why she turned to him for help in A New Hope).
There's been no mention from Lucasfilm about Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2, but fans remain optimistic, and McGregor has said on numerous occasions that there are more stories he would like to tell with the iconic Jedi Master.
