Temuera Morrison Confirms Scrapped THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Role; Criticizes THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT's Cameos

Boba Fett actor Temuera Morrison has confirmed his bounty hunter was cut from The Mandalorian season 3, while also taking aim at Lucasfilm for Din Djarin's fairly sizeable role in The Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian's third season was nothing if not divisive, and while an explosive finale went some way in making up for that, there's one disappointing decision Star Wars fans are struggling to get past.

We are, of course, referring to the fact there was no sign of Boba Fett in this latest batch of episodes. There were rumblings that season 3 would feature a cameo appearance from the iconic bounty hunter, with Tatooine's new Daimyo getting involved with the battle to retake Mandalore. Unfortunately, he didn't jetpack in to save the day during "The Return" and was conspicuous by his absence.

During a recent convention appearance, The Book of Boba Fett star Temuera Morrison confirmed there were early plans for his character to appear in The Mandalorian, only for him to never hear back from Disney and Lucasfilm.

"I was supposed to be in The Mandalorian season 3 but nobody rang me," the clearly disgruntled actor said. "I was waiting for the phone call in New Zealand, waiting and wanting to give up."

That appears to be far from Morrison's only issue with the studio right now because he was also critical of the fact one episode of The Book of Boba Fett was dedicated to The Mandalorian (many hail it as the show's best instalment). In fact, it seems the actor didn't appreciate Din Djarin stealing Boba's spotlight!

"Well, that Mando guy stole a few chapters of my book. It was painful watching him turn up with some black new lethal sword," he says. "And the way he turned up in my Book of Boba, he just destroyed everybody. I’m sure this guy is...ah...ruining my show. But I couldn’t say anything. I’m not the writer, so I have to bear it I guess."

Oof.

We hope this isn't a sign that Morrison is on the outs with Lucasfilm because, if he is, we'll be saying goodbye to Fett as quickly as he returned to our screens during The Mandalorian's second season.

Stay tuned for updates.

Can't [frick]ing blame him. They should of just made a Mando specialinstead of stealing screen time from Fett.
