Hiroshi Kitagari has begun directing after years of experienced VFX and Make-up application in the film industry. We spoke about his newest flick, End of Loyalty. When chatting with him about that we got to learn about his work on projects like Avatar: The Way of Water, The Mandalorian, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Captain Marvel in addition to his current and upcoming directorial work.

We'll be doling out all of the fun bits, but this portion of the chat focuses on his Star Wars projects - The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi. We talk about why he was so excited to work in the location that he did, the pace of the Disney+ work and which characters he worked on.

Also mentioning what it's like to watch movies he's worked on, we talked about a number of topics with Hiroshi. We already brought you the bits about making the skrull race for Captain Marvel, a genuine comic book movie. Now we're dropping Hiroshi's comments about The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi  and have left a tease for our chat with his comments about the movie, so check out the video below if you want the full experience and aren't looking forward to waiting to hear about Avatar: The Way of Water.

Hiroshi Kitagari:In Mandalorian, I did several alien head sculptures, and in Obi-Wan I did part of the make-up effects for Darth Vader.

Star Wars, the movie has never been made in L.A. Every production has been shot in The Bay Area. The Mandalorian is filmed in L.A. so I like that.So of course, working for Star Wars was one of my dreams - everyone's dream probably. It was quite exciting. The Mandalorian is filmed in L.A. so I like that.

The work on those D+ shows went pretty fast. Also, the character is based on those movies. So the character is already established from the movie so we are re-creating those, which is an exciting part.

What do you think of Hiroshi's comments on these Star Wars projects? We've also included the trailer for his directorial debut, End of Loyalty. Make sure you check out it out and share your thoughts in the comments section!
